The Forum on Thermalism in Japan consists of specialists from a wide range of fields related to health care, the environment, physical facilities and hot spring resorts. A unique feature of the organizing committee is that it possesses a global network allowing direct exchange of information, not only with the growing number of domestic thermal resorts established since the founding of the Forum in 1986 but also overseas thermal resorts

The main purpose of the activities of the Forum are to contribute to formation of a healthy and active society, not only through education and promotion of the usage of hot springs but also to provide information and consultation techniques related to the 3 aspects of environment, facilities and construction programs that are necessary for the construction of thermal resorts that will contribute to both physical and mental well-being.
